Job Description and RequirementsSynopsys Laboratory Team in Porto (Portugal) is part of a worldwide team responsible for the test and characterization of several IP products, such as HDMI, DP and MIPI (CDPHY, DPHY, MPHY). We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and talented engineer to fill a Test & Validation Engineering role in our Laboratory team.Main responsibilities include:

Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits (with Synopsys IP) full Characterization.
Design and implement laboratory test setups.
Use high-end laboratory equipment (Oscilloscopes, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Network Analyzers, etc…).
Troubleshooting and Debugging.
Understand test specifications, datasheets, and circuit schematics.
Reporting and Documentation.
Follow Quality Processes.
Work closely with Hardware Engineers to improve or to create new test setups.
Internal teams and customer support.

Requirements:

Academic background

BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Technical Skills

Microelectronics, Mixed-Signal IC concepts, digital and analog circuits.
Good understanding of transmission lines and s-parameters.
Verilog, Python and Matlab.
UNIX operating systems and scripting.
Laboratory bench instruments.
Soft Skills

Proactive and supportive team player.
Passion for technology.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Work Experience

1+ years relevant experience.
