As an Infrastructure Engineer on PMI's Data Platform Team, you'll contribute to evolving our company-wide data, AI, and analytics platform. Collaborate with a team of experts to design, develop, and maintain infrastructure supporting our data platform. You'll specialize in AWS and Terraform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and maintain infrastructure for the PMI Data Platform.
- Utilize AWS and Terraform to build and manage cloud infrastructure, covering compute, storage, and networking resources.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Implement security best practices, safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data platform.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, implementing solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across PMI to ensure the data platform meets business needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Experience in working with a DevOps culture, following Agile Software Development methodologies of Scrum and/or Kanban
- Proven experiences in source code management tools like Bitbucket and Git
- Solid experience in CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins
- Shown ability with configuration management and orchestration tools such as Ansible, AWX, Terraform, Docker or Kubernetes, and repository tools like Artifactory
- Strong understanding of security best practices for cloud environments.
- Experience with IaC tools and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Data Platforms such as Snowflake, Matillion or similar technologies
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of embedded systems and device connectivity technologies.
- Experience with front-end languages like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
