- Developing and maintaining an effective financial accounting function, ensuring adherence to IFRS and best practices;
- Overseeing accounts payable processes, ensuring smooth operations;
- Managing cash forecasting and treasury functions;
- Identifying intercompany operations for consolidation processes;
- Ensuring timely and efficient revenue accounting;
- Performing regular balance sheet reconciliations and critical reviews of the P&L;
- Preparing accurate statutory reports during year-end activities;
- Providing tax advisory support for monthly payroll, including accounting payroll;
- Liaising with Tax Authorities as required;
- Collaborating with the team to develop, implement, and document finance controls, processes, and procedures;
- Coordinating with auditors and tax advisors.
- Expertise in tax regulations and Portuguese tax legislation;
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and accounting best practices;
- Proven experience in managing accounting functions and ensuring compliance;
- Excellent understanding of revenue accounting and balance sheet reconciliations;
- Familiarity with payroll processes and tax advisory;
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively:
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite.
