This role requires a deep understanding of software architecture principles and the ability to lead and mentor a team of developers.This role requires hands-on experience as Salesforce B2B Commerce Architect with a broad technical perspective regarding solution architecture.Job DescriptionDesign the architecture systems in the Commerce Domain to ensure high performance and scalabilityLead the design and optimization of digital commerce platforms, primarily focused on Salesforce B2B Commerce, but with consideration for broader architectural patterns.Develop and maintain software architecture documentation.Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across the software development lifecycle.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.Review and approve design and code to ensure adherence to best practices.Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements.Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the development team.Participate in project planning and estimation activities.Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices.Conduct performance tuning and optimization of software systems.Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation.Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to stakeholders.Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for pitches and client work.RequirementsSolid hands-on experience with Salesforce B2B Commerce & Order ManagementStrong knowledge of software architecture principles and patterns.Experience designing and delivering complex, enterprise-grade commerce solutions.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.Ability to lead teams, provide guidance, and support team development.Nice to HaveFamiliarity with other Salesforce products (e.g., Experience Cloud, Service Cloud).Exposure to other commerce platforms or ecosystems (e.g., SAP Commerce Cloud, Magento, Shopify…).Understanding of headless commerce and modern architecture paradigms (e.g., MACH, composable architecture).Why choose Merkle?Innovation at Our Core: As part of dentsu’s global network, Merkle pushes the boundaries of customer experience, integrating creativity, technology, and data to drive real-world impact.
