- The Site Engineer is data driven to create insights and trends to effectively and efficiently supervise; civil works, onsite survey, network design, installation, commissioning, and integration activities.
- The Site Engineer adhears to responsible business practices ensuring compliance to; group, legal and financial directives, global and local Occupation and Environmental Health and Safety (O+EHS), information and product security and privacy, using relevant processes and tools.
- As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for handling, analyzing, and identifying network or product issues related to 5G and LTE Radio Access Network (RAN).
- Your role will involve working closely with tier-2 support to provide emergency support, CSR handling, software updates, routine maintenance, and network troubleshooting.
- Secure work area: Visual safety inspections; Risk assessment; Protect site from unauthorized access (i.e. Segregation btw traffic /pedestrian & work area); Safe work area and drop zones for lifting operations in place; Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) available; Storage for installation material in place; Tools & equipment available; Site documentation available
- Secure installation & commissioning setup: Install and align equipment in accordance to installation documentation and instructions; Equipment delivery & transport damages completed; Equipment poweredup; Equipment tested (Drive Test & Line of Sight); Equipment Test Documentation compiled; Red mark installation drawing for input to As Built documentation
- Perform onsite integration: Integration equipment connected; Integration activities executed (tests & alarms); Secure off-site integration services with Network Integration Centre (NIC); Integration Report Documentation compiled
- Conclude installation & commissioning activities: Clean site; Waste disposal; Return excess material; Report commissioning completed
- Secure E+ OHS and security adherence. Ensure employees are familiar with hazards in the workplace.
- Perform field survey: Support survey tool set-up; Perform on-site data collection
- Degree in Telecommunication, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- Good knowledge in the latest RAN & IP network topology principles & techniques
