Location: Lousado, Portugal (Hybrid work model)Continental is looking for a Software Collaboration Platform Engineer to join its Tires IT organization, supporting the digital backbone of our global software development teams. This role will take end-to-end ownership of its GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Atlassian Cloud platforms, playing a key part in enhancing platform reliability, developer experience, and operational excellence across the organization.As part of the Continental Solution Center in Portugal, you will collaborate with global teams and drive automation, integration, and governance strategies that support our digital transformation journey.Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the service owner for GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Confluence) platforms
- Define and implement governance, security, and automation strategies
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, DevOps, and IT Security teams to enable seamless CI/CD and cloud infrastructure integration
- Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps best practices across teams
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using Bash, Python, or similar languages
- Deliver expert-level support, training, and documentation for internal users
- Monitor and optimize platform performance, usage, and compliance
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and evaluate new tools and features
- Stay up to date with industry trends and implement relevant innovationsYour Profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or platform engineering
- Strong experience with GitHub Enterprise and Atlassian Jira & Confluence administration
- Proven knowledge of GitHub services and development lifecycle integrations
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices
- Proficiency in IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and experience with Azure Cloud
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence technical direction
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus
