Our client is an international tech consulting company with over 25 years of experience, offering solutions to support companies' business and digital transformation.(This position is hybrid in Lisbon or Porto)Responsibilities:Cloud Environments (Public):

Oversee the provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security of cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
Design and deploy highly available, multi-region solutions aligned with performance and scalability requirements.
Automate infrastructure and cloud services deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, integrating with Azure DevOps pipelines.

Private Cloud Environments:

Manage VMware Cloud Foundation suite with emphasis on vSAN, NSX, Aria Suite, and Tanzu.
Monitor VMware platforms using Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks.
Automate infrastructure operations through Aria Automation.
Administer container-based solutions via VMware Tanzu.
Handle network management and micro-segmentation using VMware NSX.

Security & Compliance:

Implement and enforce security best practices across cloud environments.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and industry frameworks.

Optimization & Monitoring:

Track resource usage and system performance to make continuous improvements that optimize cost efficiency and scalability.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure alignment with cloud architecture best practices.

Incident Analysis:

Conduct root cause analysis of operational incidents to mitigate recurring issues.

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in cloud engineering, including architecture design and management.
Solid expertise in major cloud platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
In-depth knowledge of VMware solutions, including VMware Cloud Foundation and NSX.
Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Strong understanding of cloud security practices and regulatory compliance.
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret monitoring data and correlate it with business impact.
Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently.
Strong communication skills and collaborative working style.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications in Azure, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware technologies.
Exposure to advanced monitoring and observability tools.
Experience working on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
