- Analysis of production data and processes to determine requirements for entirely new production lines and improvements in the brownfield;
- Planning and project management of manual and semi-automated production lines in respect to lean principles;
- Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions utilizing Siemens PLC systems, robot programming, and machine vision systems;
- Lead and coordinate automation projects from concept to completion while managing resources, timelines, and stakeholder communication;
- Define and execute preventive maintenance activities and provide rapid troubleshooting of automated systems to minimize production downtime;
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes through continuous improvement initiatives and KPI tracking to enhance operational efficiency;
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards through proper documentation and regular system audits.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent qualification;
- Proven hands-on experience with MES systems as well as in PLC and industrial robots programming (min. 2 years of experience);
- Knowledge in lean methodology and optimization methods such as six sigma;
- Hands-on experience in production equipment commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting;
- Basic knowledge of industrial machine vision systems and their integration into automation systems;
- Beneficial if knowledge about CE certification or servo electric presses;
- Structured way of working and ownership to drive own projects forward;
- Good English written and verbal skills are mandatory, Portuguese skills will be highly valued.
