The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle of our websites, demonstrating expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a team of talented, results-driven professionals and gain invaluable knowledge of how web development interplays with complex multi-channel marketing campaigns.Job DescriptionManage the end-to-end development process of websites, ensuring high-quality code and timely delivery.Create custom plugins/modules to enhance the functionality of our websitesProficient in JavaScript (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and PHP for effective implementation of features and functionality.Demonstrate expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, frameworks, and libraries.Understand code deployment process and version control using GitHubManage and oversee the deployment and maintenance of web applications on AWS infrastructure.Implement best practices for cloud architecture, scalability, and security.Optimize existing database structures, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL along with graphQL.Enforce coding standards and best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including digital Marketers, designers, project managers, and other developers to achieve project goalsCollaborate on a clear website deployment and QA process. Conduct thorough testing of websites to identify and resolve bugs, compatibility issues, and performance bottlenecksBasic RequirementsPlease note this role is predominantly home based, UK wide, with some visits to the Edinburgh office required, as per business needs.5+ years experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a focus on both front-end and back-end development.Experience in developing and maintaining backend on of CMS such as WordPress, Contentful ,Craft and HubspotStrong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP.2+ years experience with frameworks such as Vue and ReactExperience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap or Tailwind)Proficiency with Alpine.js and HubL is a bonusExperienced in deploying and managing applications on AWS.Strong knowledge of mobile first responsive web design principlesFamiliarity with database design and management.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and teamwork skills2+ years of experience working in a project management system like JiraIn return for your expertise, we’ll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
