We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Java Developer to join our team in Lisbon.You will lead a collaborative team focused on developing secure and scalable microservices using Java and Spring. This role requires you to work in the Lisbon office 2-3 times per week.If you are an expert at building high-performance applications and mentoring teams, we encourage you to apply!ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and implementation of microservices using Java and SpringDrive the creation of high-performance, secure, and scalable applicationsCollaborate with team members on software architecture and guide technical decision-makingFoster and promote agile development practices within the teamEstablish and enforce best practices in software development, testing, and deploymentReview the code of team members, set quality standards, and offer mentorshipResolve complex technical challenges and ensure timely delivery of projectsAct as the key technical point of contact for cross-functional teams and stakeholdersRequirements5+ years of experience in Java programming1+ years of leadership experience in relevant rolesProven track record in delivering enterprise-level applicationsStrong expertise in software engineering and microservices architecturesAdvanced proficiency in Java/Spring and RESTful APIsDemonstrated capability in leading and mentoring development teamsExcellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindsetB2+ level of English proficiencyNice to haveExtensive experience with Jenkins, Splunk, Apache Kafka, and RedisDeep knowledge of client-server architectures and distributed systemsStrong understanding of low-level protocols, threads, and concurrency modelsExperience working with event-driven architectures and reactive programmingAdvanced skills in databases, messaging systems, caches, API gateways, networking, pipelines, etc.We offer/Benefits
