Where no two days are the same.YOUR ROLEThe Structural Engineer will focus on the design, analysis, and integrity of wind turbine blades, ensuring their structural soundness and performance throughout their operational lifespan. This role involves understanding composite materials, advanced simulation tools like Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and a deep knowledge of structural mechanics to develop new blade designs, optimize existing ones, and address issues like lightning protection and repair strategies.YOUR PROFILE
  • Master's degree in mechanical/structural engineering or a related field;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the wind industry, specifically in designing composite structures;
  • Good knowledge of composite structures and manufacturing methods;
  • Good understanding of aero-structure elasticity, plate and shell theory, cross-sectional analysis of composite beams, and general beam theory;
  • Previous experience as a structural designer, with a focus on composite materials, is desirable;
  • Experience with Finite Element Method (FEM), especially ANSYS, and knowledge of composite testing at various levels;
  • Nice to have: Programming skills, particularly in Python, are beneficial.
