- Develop and implement strategies and processes for obtaining necessary permits, licenses, approvals, and authorizations by ensuring compliance with ESG regulations and standards;
- Conduct site assessments, constraints analyses, and risk assessments for permitting feasibility for early-stage project development;
- Knowledge and ability to manage and secure electrical capacity reserve titles and production, environmental and construction permits for new and acquired renewable assets in Portugal;
- Understanding of local requirements, processes, timelines, and costs in local jurisdictions and sharing information for project budgets, plans, schedules, and third-party agreements;
- Manage technical and environmental studies for renewables development;
- Identify and implement problem-solving strategies to reduce project costs, and impacts, and to mitigate environmental risk;
- Identify, prepare, and submit permits and licenses to relevant authorities, monitoring submissions and due dates, evaluating, and resolving issues, and communicating clearly and quickly with relevant stakeholders about changes or obstacles;
- Coordinate with Business Development team members to develop permit application support documentation;
- Successfully negotiate project design and ensure project success while understanding project constraints;
- Select, manage, and guide contractors, service providers and consultants to maintain project timeline and budget.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all permits, licenses, and regulatory correspondence, establishing a comprehensive database for easy retrieval of information during audits or inspections.
- Prepare and provide reports on a regular basis to the Corporate management team and other relevant stakeholders;
- Conduct and attend meetings/public hearings of various internal and external stakeholders related to licensing and permitting;
- Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders;
