That uniqueness shapes the culture of belonging we are so proud of.The Role:We are looking to hire a highly skilled Software Engineer with strong data engineering capabilities to join our elite team of .NET developers, data scientists, and quants. You’ll be working at the intersection of software performance, large-scale data processing, and advanced modelling—building systems that simulate full sporting events, price markets in real time, and deliver personalised data services. You will design and implement high-throughput, parallelised, low-latency systems in C#, while also contributing to our modern data architecture across streaming platforms, APIs, and data pipelines. You will team up with colleagues having experience working with Data Warehouses, Machine Learning and more. This is a unique opportunity to play a core role in a fast-paced environment where software, data, and science meet.What You’ll Be Doing:Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications in C#Optimise code for concurrency, low latency, and large-scale parallel executionBuild and support real-time data pipelines using tools like Kafka and AWS servicesDevelop data-driven services such as customer profiling and machine learning APIsCollaborate with quants and analysts to understand and deliver on modelling requirementsWork with our Data Engineering colleagues to establish shared approaches to accessing data warehouse data, using tools such as RedshiftMonitor, optimise and trouble-shoot database, microservice, stream and ML service performanceSupport and monitor production systems including trading applications and data servicesWork within a Scrum team, contributing to Agile ceremonies and owning your team’s deliveryEnsure robust testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and support CI/CD processesWhat You’ll Bring:Software Engineering Skills:Proven experience writing and optimising performance-critical applications in C#Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical fieldExpertise in parallel and multi-threaded programming (TPL, async/await, synchronisation)Experience with .NET Core and working in Linux-based environmentsFamiliarity with distributed system design, microservices, and event-driven architectureExperience using or willingness to learn R and/or Python for modelling tasks, data workflowsSolid understanding of CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD)Practical experience with AWS or other major cloud providersComfortable working with containerised services and infrastructure as codeData Engineering Skills:Strong SQL knowledge and dimensional modelling experienceExperience with high-volume data loads (terabyte scale) from transactional OLTP systemsHands-on experience with Kafka or similar streaming technologiesFamiliarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch)Exposure to machine learning platforms (e.g., Python ML stack, AWS SageMaker)Knowledge of database tuning and performance analysisDesirable:Background in quantitative systems or the online gaming/gambling industryFamiliarity with mathematical modelling, probability theory, or statisticsExperience working in Agile environmentsThis role offers a unique blend of software and data engineering challenges, ideal for someone looking to make an impact in high-performance, data-driven systems.
