- Lead Siemens' data-driven transformation by spearheading the data governance program within Smart Infrastructure.
- Drive the execution of Siemens' data governance strategy by implementing its vision, mission, and framework across the organization.
- Promote cross-domain data governance, data quality, and data protection standards and processes and prepare recommendations for relevant boards
- Support the development of Business Unit data models - either by combining models across BUs or by assisting BU Data Architects in their creation. BUs are responsible for aligning and harmonizing data across domains, ensuring relevant data is integrated along the entire value chain.
- Champion a cultural shift toward data-driven decision-making by defining and promoting data governance principles that position data as a strategic enterprise asset.
- Define and assign data governance roles and responsibilities, ensuring clear ownership and accountability for data across the organization.
- Foster a data governance community within Siemens Smart Infrastructure, providing guidance to business units and support functions in establishing their own data stewardship communities and collaboration models.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to data owners, data stewards, and process owners by acting as the central point of contact for functional data governance. Empower them to adopt best practices within their data domains and accelerate adoption through expert guidance.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise and domain architects to ensure data governance is seamlessly embedded into data architecture and platform design, aligning with robust and scalable architectural principles
- Engage with key stakeholders across Smart Infrastructure-including business, strategy, IT, and Cybersecurity-to promote continuous improvement and ensure adherence to data governance standards and policies.
- Support initiatives related to data integration, advanced analytics, AI acceleration and adoption, OT/IT convergence, and the development of API frameworks and integration strategies.
- Continuously refine governance strategies based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business needs.
- A degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Demonstrated experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Enterprise Architecture, or a related field, with a proven track record of advancing data maturity using industry-standard frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, Data Mesh Architecture, and Data as a Product.
- 6+ years of experience leading data governance and digital transformation initiatives
