Responsibilities:Our newest opportunity is for talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Porto or Lisbon office in Portugal.This is a dynamic and multidisciplinary role supporting the design and coordination of electrical infrastructure systems across various project stages. While experience in power distribution is highly valued, we welcome candidates with strengths in any of the following: street lighting, telecom ducting, ICT infrastructure and solar systems design.We envisage success in this role to include:
Designing and reviewing electrical infrastructure systems, including medium and low voltage (MV/LV) networks, as applicable.
Contributing to streetlight lighting designs, including lighting layout and calculations.
Supporting or reviewing telecom infrastructure ducting layouts in coordination with other services.
Collaborating with ICT specialists to ensure infrastructure supports connected systems, security, and Smart City applications, depending on project scope.
Participating in the design of solar energy systems (e.g., rooftop PV or off-grid solutions), when relevant to the project scope.
Ensuring calculations and designs are in line with project-specific standards and local authority regulations.
Providing technical support and mentoring to junior staff.
Leading coordination with CAD/BIM technicians for the preparation of drawings and models.
Participating in the preparation and review of technical reports, design documentation, and other client deliverables.
Ensuring high technical quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinating with other engineering disciplines for integrated design solutions.
Liaising with clients and authorities as required for approvals.
Supporting proposal preparation and occasional input to business development
Qualifications:To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and more than 10 years of experience in a similar position. Having a membership of a professional institution is desirable.Furthermore, you should demonstrate:
Proven experience in the infrastructure electric design.
Experience with Dialux, ETAP, AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM tools, and solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope).
Knowledge in BIM and AutoCAD Civil 3D is an advantage.
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.
A collaborative mindset and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
