We are seeking a dedicated Staff Technical Product Owner to join our engineering community. In this role, you will partner with software engineering teams, architects, and product managers to build the detailed technical backlogs that drive the value-oriented delivery of our ambitious product roadmaps.Your work will be as varied and diverse as the culture we’re proud to be a part of. You could find yourself closely aligned to 2-3 teams or you could be called upon to help resolve challenges from across the whole community. Great ideas can come from anywhere, and we want you to speak up from day one!Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate higher-level backlogs into actionable technical requirements in collaboration with Product Owners and Engineering teams.Create, refine, and maintain backlogs to ensure frequent and incremental value delivery while avoiding unnecessary accumulation of technical or operational debt.Address questions, doubts, and risks raised by stakeholders and developers.Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders in other teams to ensure effective delivery of end-to-end solutions.Drive backlog prioritisation and manage partner expectations.Illustrate ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business processes using swim-lane diagrams or Activity Diagrams.Document and communicate a product roadmap to identify and prioritise the strategic direction of the product.Collaborate with Solution Architects, Developers, Testers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions following Agile methodology.Advocate for clients/users, prioritising their needs in product design.Contribute to the continual development and improvement of departmental processes.Lead discussions about roadmap item dependencies and delivery implications.Analyse requirements and advise on scope and options for continuous operational improvement.Elicit requirements from stakeholders using appropriate techniques and capture these clearly to ensure common understanding.Identify and assess risk, reliability, and/or uncertainty in the design, system, or process including the impact of change.Capabilities and ExperienceExperience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a broad range of technical deliveries is advantageous.Ability to work autonomously in an environment of constant change.Experience writing requirement documents and user stories.Experience defining business processes.Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies and software development processes.Experience working with teams across multiple countries is desirable.Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps is desirable.Experience creating flow diagrams for visualising requirements is desirable.Experience modelling business processes using various tools and techniques is desirable.Personal SkillsAbility to break down complex problems into logical and manageable constructs.Desire and capability to innovate within the scope and requirements of stakeholders.Demonstrable commitment to seeing a project through from inception to completion.Willingness to tackle challenges head-on.Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor own work systematically and analytically.Why join Kantar?We shape the brands of tomorrow by better understanding people everywhere.
