Ready to shape the future of mobility with us?ABOUT THE JOB:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Central Process Owner (CPO) for conveyor systems, taping processes, transport systems, and other key manufacturing equipment to join our EMEA Technical Center team in Lisbon, Portugal or in our engineering center in Tangier, Morocco.This role is critical in driving the standardization, reliability, and continuous improvement of electrical test systems used in the production and final validation of automotive wiring harnesses across multiple manufacturing sites in the EMEA region.“Important Company Update – Please Read Before Applying. Our solutions are central to enabling the next generation of electrified, automated, and connected vehicles, and we are committed to innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence.We are looking for talented individuals who are excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of EDS and delivering industry-leading solutions to the world’s top automotive manufacturers.”YOUR ROLE:As a CPO Process Owner specializing in conveyor systems, taping processes, transport systems, and other key manufacturing equipment, you will be at the core of technical development and deployment of standardized, scalable solutions across our EMEA production sites. Your mission is to ensure that equipment and processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, while also supporting harmonization across plants.Embedded in a dynamic production engineering environment, your role includes:Leading the specification, selection, and implementation of conveyor systems, taping machines, and harness transport equipment.Driving process improvement initiatives to enhance cycle time, repeatability, and quality.Supporting the industrialization of new equipment across existing or greenfield production lines.Ensuring compliance with safety, ergonomic, and productivity standards during system deployment.Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including Industrialization, Production, Maintenance, and Quality—as well as external suppliers and OEM customers.Coordinating installations, upgrades, and technical troubleshooting during and after implementation phases.Providing clear documentation for operations, maintenance, and training purposes.Monitoring system performance and applying data-driven improvements.Offering flexible support for additional production processes as dictated by business needs.Traveling up to 60% across EMEA to support multi-site implementation and troubleshooting.YOUR BACKGROUND:To succeed in this role, you bring a blend of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and production environments.We’re looking for someone with:A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role, ideally within the automotive or wiring harness industry.Good to have a proven hands-on experience with:Conveyor systems and automated production linesTaping machines and harness transport/handling solutionsEquipment specification, installation, and optimizationA solid understanding of:Safety, ergonomic, and productivity standardsTechnical drawings and customer specification interpretationThe ability to:Troubleshoot and optimize production setupsCollaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholdersTrain operators and maintenance staff on new systemsDevelop clear, concise technical documentationStrong Excel skills for data analysis and process trackingFluent English communication skills (written and spoken); additional languages are a plusA proactive approach, high attention to detail, and a strong focus on operational efficiency and complianceWillingness and flexibility to travel extensively (up to 60%) throughout the EMEA regionPlease submit your CV in English.WHY JOIN US?
