We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team in Lisbon.In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative, high-quality applications while collaborating with a talented group of professionals. This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work 2-3 times per week in the Mastercard office in Lisbon.ResponsibilitiesDevelop microservices using Java and Spring frameworksDesign and implement scalable and secure high-performance applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new featuresEnhance and maintain existing applications to improve functionality and performanceParticipate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality standards and best practicesContribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologiesTroubleshoot and resolve technical challenges to ensure system reliabilityRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldAt least 3 years of experience in software developmentProficiency in Java programmingExperience with Java microservice infrastructureKnowledge of REST API developmentHands-on experience with Spring BootProficiency in unit testing to ensure code quality and reliabilityStrong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challengesFluency in English, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higherNice to haveFamiliarity with client-server architectures, low-level protocols, threads, event-driven architectures, authentication, and cryptographyExperience working with databases, messaging systems, caches, API gateways, networking, and pipelinesKnowledge of tools and platforms such as Jenkins, Splunk, Apache Kafka, and RedisWe offer/Benefits
