This will significantly increase your chances of success.We are looking for a Senior Developer with solid knowledge and hands-on experience in Java and HL7 integration standards (V2 or FHIR) to join our team in Porto, Portugal.What You Will Do

Develop software solutions for the healthcare sector.
Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to understand interoperability and integration requirements.
Design, build, and maintain Java applications for healthcare data exchange using HL7 standards.
Implement HL7 messaging interfaces to enable seamless integration between healthcare systems.
Create custom solutions to transform and route HL7 messages as needed.
Integrate healthcare applications with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other healthcare IT systems.
Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and regulations, including HIPAA.
Work closely with project managers and team members to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
Perform unit testing and support integration testing to validate reliability and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to healthcare data exchange and system integration.
Document technical designs, integration workflows, and interfaces for future reference and maintenance.

Requirements / Must be clearly listed on your CVEducation:

Degree or ongoing studies in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience & Skills:

6+ years of software development experience.
6+ years working with Java 8 (or higher).
4+ years working with data formats such as JSON, XML, or Protocol Buffers.
4+ years using REST and SOAP APIs.
2+ years working with HL7 v2 or HL7 FHIR standards.
Fluent in Portuguese and English.

Tools:

Minimum 2 years working with Git and Docker.

Methodologies (Nice to Have):

Minimum 2 years working in Agile environments.

Frameworks (Nice to Have):

Experience with Vaadin.

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English.
Team player with effective time management skills.
