What's in it for youFintech is one of the corner stones of the Vodafone transformation journey to become a product driven company, within the consumer product portfolio in Digital Engineering. Inside FinTech, the Content team is responsible for the directly customer facing propositions Partner Provisioning Engine and Subscription+ which enable Vodafone customers to subscribe to services from more than two dozen Content Partners. Creating a robust and future ready architecture supporting a high performant and scalable platform which is easily expandable, operable and upgradable in an environment with strong requirements for customization from both.What you'll do

Own the definition and documentation of the architectural strategy, technical roadmap, and high-level solution designs for the Fintech Content team and product portfolio, consolidating input from relevant stakeholders and sources in the FinTech Content area;
Reviewing requirements and participating in design reviews, performing architecture definition and assessment;
Work closely with Content stakeholders in consumer and commercial units as well as Content partners, to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their business needs and platform performance goals, while at the same time fitting with the Content architecture and capability roadmap;
Cascade down from overall FinTech level and champion the inclusion of architecture best practises and continuous improvement activities within the Content team, working in close cooperation with and collecting feedback from the FinTech Lead Architect;
Awareness of opportunities provided by new technology in the Content area and drive innovative thinking and solution design;
Contribute to the FinTech Architecture Chapter working in cooperation with other FinTech Architects and Solution Designers, as well as Content Technical and Development Leads and Developers;
Work in close cooperation with other FinTech architects and technical leads and developers both onshore and offshore
Identify requirements from stakeholders in the FinTech team (both GT and GC), local markets and Content partners teams;
Analyse business challenges and technical issues;
Design reliable, scalable, and high performing architectures for Content propositions, with a specific focus on web technologies and API integrations;
Express complex concepts in plain language to audiences in the Content team and across FinTech;
Contribute to FinTech Architecture Chapter and adhere to constraints, guidelines and best practices defined by the chapter.

Who you are

Technical degree level (BsC or MsC) or equivalent education;
Strong set of technical / architecture skills, additional business skills beneficial;
Skilled in working with both local and remote stakeholders and in multi-national distributed teams;
Has long standing professional experience and deep knowledge of:
Architectures relying on web (frontend) technologies & APIs;
Subscription management platforms;
Financial transactions & data processing systems;
Web technologies: JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue);
Public Cloud Infrastructure / Compute: AWS Cloud Architecture, Amazon EKS & containers;
Public Cloud Network & APIs: ELB and NLB, Ingress/Egress, Route53 DNS, Usage of REST APIs and API gateways;
Public Cloud Secrets Management: Certificate Management, Secrets Manager;
CI/CD: Gitlab, Jenkins;
Logging Data Management: Splunk, Kafka, Logstash;
Monitoring and Alarming: AWS CloudWatch;
Works in agile teams and organizations (SAFe, Scrum and Kanban);
Has the ability to design robust, highly scalable and easily maintainable / expandable architecture solutions;
Hands-on, with well proven experience to be able to build own proofs of concept.
Proven experience of preparing and presenting technical solutions and high level designs;
Excellent communication skills;
Ability to learn and work independently;
Very good analytical and problem-solving attitude;
Related qualification and proven experience and track record in digital products, specifically relating to subscription management and integration with Content partners;
Portuguese/English Language proficiency.
