Our client is a global medical products and technologies company, with a Global Business Service in PortugalDescriçăo da ofertaSenior R2R Accountant - IFRS - External audit - Direct and Indirect tax reportingDescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver timely group and local reporting for assigned cluster, working closely with Country Accountants and General Ledger Associates (ensuring completeness and correctness of Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, prepare Cash-Flow reporting and respective period-to-period variance analysis on actuals, prepare disclosures). Drive delivery of external audit for assigned scopeEnsure timely delivery of indirect, direrct tax and other local reporting obligations, acting as reviewer/approver for Tier 3 entities indirect tax reporting. Cooperate closely with tax advisor to ensure timely preparation of direct tax reportingEnsure integrity of balance sheet - responsible for preparation of high-risk/Tier1&2 entity account reconciliations, act as reviewer of medium/Tier 3 entity reconciliation, drive resolution of aged itemsSecure compliance according to internal procedures and legislation, act as reviewer of Tier 3 entities internal controlsAct as subject matter expert for accounting and reporting processes, as well as tax related matters (resolving more complex queries, leading small cross-functional improvement projects, system implementation, team upskilling, etc.)Engage with business and GBS stakeholders, driving regular updates to ensure alignment and achieving overall goalsAct as mentor for junior team membersAct as backup for RTR Team LeadProfileKey RequirementsMaster's degree in Finance/AccountingAdditional accounting certification is a plusMinimum 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experienceExperience in working with IFRS and local standardsExperience in Tax (Direct and Indirect) accounting and complianceKnowledge of Technology: MS Office, SAP is an advantageStrong communication skills - effectively communicating key data, including presentations to managementMature attitude towards challenges and problem solving - being able to work with limited guidance, manage ambiguity and pressure effectively, cope well with setbacksContinuous improvement mindsetHands-on personality, sound understanding of key finance process interfacesTaking ownership of assigned responsibilities, including self-study/research needed to execute the sameEnglish - Fluent (mandatory)Job Offer
