
Technical Service Operations Manager

- Act as the first point of contact for colleagues and global customers, gathering requirements and translating them into technical and functional solutions.
- Lead the operational lifecycle of tailor-made customer applications: from implementation to ongoing support and optimization.
- Ensure applications run smoothly in production, managing incidents, service levels, and reporting via ServiceNow.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and customer representatives, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication across technical and non-technical teams.
- Apply a hands-on technical approach: work with SQL for data manipulation and queries, review and understand code blocks (Python, JavaScript or similar), and oversee technical aspects of cloud environments (Azure).
- Run operations independently when needed - able to “take the wheel” and ensure continuity even if the wider team is not available.
- Support product implementation activities, including testing and customer onboarding.
- Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes, service quality, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with supplier teams to align on deliverables and performance.
- Several years of experience in application operations/support, and previous experience in a role involving leadership, coordination, or supervisory responsibility.
- Strong experience with SQL (queries, data manipulation), and ability to read and understand code in modern languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure, ITIL processes, and ServiceNow (including reporting).
- Proven ability to interact with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex issues into clear business language.
- High level of autonomy, problem-solving ability, and ownership - comfortable taking decisions independently.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, especially in multicultural and global environments.
- Strong customer focus and ability to ensure high satisfaction throughout the application lifecycle.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience working in supply chain or logistics domains.
- Familiarity with additional tools such as Azure DevOps, OutSystems LowCode, Dell Boomi, or BlueYonder (JDA).
- Exposure to governance frameworks, SLAs/KPIs design, and operational reporting for executives.
- Prior experience managing supplier or third-party teams.
