- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, support, and inspire team members (TMs) in recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development;
- Set clear annual objectives for direct reports and provide ongoing guidance to achieve departmental goals;
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team;
- Regularly evaluate team performance, offering constructive feedback, coaching, and managing underperformance in partnership with HR.
- Technical Oversight & Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies for the design, acquisition, installation, and maintenance of critical facilities, equipment, and utilities;
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency through predictive and preventive maintenance programs, starting at the design stage of the project;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions with operational needs;
- Ensure robust root cause analysis (RCA) processes are in place and share lessons learned with broader teams to standardize best practices.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Guarantee adherence to regulatory, national, and international laws, as well as health authority requirements;
- Maintain full compliance with GMP standards, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs);
- Oversee audits and inspections, ensuring readiness and swift resolution of any findings;
- Operational Excellence:
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring cost control and delivering value without compromising safety or compliance;
- Evaluate and manage outsourced service providers and contractors, ensuring they meet performance and compliance standards;
- Act as a technical expert to resolve unexpected engineering and maintenance challenges, minimizing downtime.
- Innovation & Sustainability:
- Identify and implement innovative technologies to enhance operational efficiency, sustainability, and environmental compliance;
- Promote energy-efficient and environmentally friendly engineering solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic, Instrumentation, or a related field);
- At least 8 years of experience in maintenance and engineering roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries;
- Proven leadership experience, with a strong ability to motivate and develop teams in project and operational settings;
- Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, industrial safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements;
- Demonstrated ability to manage CAPEX projects, including design, installation, and commissioning of equipment and facilities;
- Expertise in root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA, and other problem-solving methodologies;
- Proficiency in modern maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS) and digital tools;
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (verbal and written).
