- Support core accounting operations - work closely with the Senior Finance Manager to handle day-to-day accounting tasks and special projects.
- Financial systems improvement - assisting with the migration from Xero to a more scalable finance system (ERP). This includes participating in system selection, data migration, process redesign, and user training to ensure a smooth transition and enhanced reporting capabilities.
- Group consolidation - assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and consolidation process. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports for the Group.
- General ledger management - support general ledger management, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date Balance Sheet schedules and ensure all financial data is recorded correctly.
- Accounts payable/receivable collaboration - work effectively with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable colleagues to streamline billing and payment processes.
- Cash management & treasury - support day-to-day banking activities, including management of multi-currency bank accounts.
- Collaboration with FP&A & Data Analytics - assist with the maintenance of data consistency and quality, reporting and analysis support, and cross-functional business partnering for budgeting and strategic decision-making.
- Reporting compliance and statutory audit - ensure all accounting activities comply with FRS102 and relevant local regulations. Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and the audit process.
- Financial controls & process improvement - maintain strong financial controls and contribute to improving processes. Identify opportunities for automation or efficiency gains in accounting workflows, helping the finance team scale effectively as the business grows.
- Fully qualified accountant with a recognized certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or ACA).
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is desirable.
- Proven experience in an accounting role (mid-level position), ideally 3-5+ years post-qualification.
- Experience in a Tech or SaaS company is strongly preferred.
- Tech-savvy with strong accounting systems experience. Hands-on experience with Xero or similar accounting software is required. Exposure to or involvement in finance system migrations (e.g. migrating to an ERP like NetSuite, Sage Intact or Rillet) is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and consolidation of multiple entities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage general ledger functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and prepayments. Comfortable handling multi-currency transactions and intercompany entries in a global business.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across a global remote team. Capable of explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues clearly and of coordinating with external advisors or auditors when required.
- Based in Europe, with the ability to work core business hours in Central European Time (CET). Willingness to occasionally accommodate meetings across different time zones as needed for a global team.
