- Explore, clean, manipulate and analyze valuable data from different data sources with SQL, Python, Scala or equivalent;
- Translate product objectives to data science problems and vice-versa;
- Proactively perform data exploration to uncover future opportunities;
- Work with large and complex datasets, applying statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques to solve e-commerce business challenges;
- Develop and deploy predictive models for customer segmentation, demand forecasting, product recommendation, and customer lifetime value (LTV) measurement;
- Build and maintain data pipelines and interactive dashboards to monitor KPIs and support decision-making processes;
- Conduct exploratory analyses to identify patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities across the customer journey;
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Technology teams to define metrics, test hypotheses, and propose data-driven improvements;
- Lead experimentation projects (A/B testing), ensuring methodological rigor and extracting actionable business insights;
- Mentor and support junior data scientists and analysts, fostering technical growth within the team;
- Clearly communicate analytical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating insights into strategic recommendations.
- Solid experience (minimum 4 years) in data science, preferably within e-commerce, retail, or marketplaces;
- Ability to model analytical and statistical problems as well as different validation techniques;
- Strong knowledge of SQL;
- Python (or similar) programming skills using machine learning experimentation and development best practices;
- Experience with Data Visualization for technical & non-technical audiences;
- Knowledge of Big Data and Cloud technologies is a plus (PySpark, Spark, Hive, Azure, Databricks).
- Experience with NLP (Natural Language Processing) techniques;
- Background in product recommendation systems, dynamic pricing, or optimization of digital marketing campaigns.
