Responsibilities:Our newest opportunity is for talented BIM Coordinator to join our award-winning team based in Porto or Lisbon, Portugal.This critical role will work as part of the Infrastructure team, responsible for implementing BIM workflows, coordinating multi-disciplinary infrastructure models (roads, wet and dry utilities, bridges), and ensure the quality and timely delivery of project information. Reporting to the BIM Manager, the role focuses on day-to-day model coordination, Common Data Environment (CDE) management, Clash detection, and compliance with ISO 19650 standards and KEO’s Digital Delivery Framework.We envisage success in this role to include:
Configuring the Common Data Environment (CDE) in line with KEO and client requirements (folder structure, permissions, workflows).
Applying naming conventions, metadata requirements, and file structures as defined in the BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
Loading and maintaining approved BIM libraries, templates.
Aggregating and managing discipline models into federated models for coordination.
Running clash detection tests, preparing and tracking clash reports, and supporting clash resolution workshops.
Verifying models for compliance with project standards, BEP, and Level of Information Need (LOIN).
Managing model workflows across WIP, Shared, and Published stages in the CDE.
Supporting the process of generating 2D drawings, plans, profiles, etc directly from 3D models, ensuring consistency between the model and extracted outputs.
Facilitating digital handover deliverables such as COBie and Asset Information Requirements (AIR).
Acting as the first point of contact for BIM-related issues within project teams.
Supporting design coordination meetings with federated models, issue logs, and interface checks.
Collaborating with other divisions and external consultants to ensure interface alignment.
Maintaining and updating issue registers, coordination logs, and clash resolution trackers in the CDE.
Coordinating with the discipline leads/BIM Engineers from each discipline to resolve model discrepancies, ensure alignment between design intent and digital outputs.
Escalating major technical or compliance issues to the BIM Manager.
Ensuring project compliance with ISO 19650, and Client-specific standards.
Supporting knowledge sharing and training within the project team and provide guidance and technical support to junior BIM staff.
Qualifications:To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and more than 4 years of experience in a similar position. Having a certificate in Autodesk Certified Professional for Civil 3D for Infrastructure and AutoCAD is preferred.Furthermore, you should demonstrate:
Proven experience in BIM coordination for infrastructure projects (roads, highways, Dry and Wet utilities, and bridges).
Good knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D for modeling utilities and road networks, including surface modeling, pipe networks, and corridor design.
Hands-on experience in Navisworks Manage for clash detection, issue tracking, and federated model coordination.
Practical knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360) for CDE management, workflow approvals, and information sharing.
Familiarity with InfraWorks for conceptual modeling and design visualization.
Exposure to GIS/BIM integration and data handover standards (COBie, Asser Information Requirements) is an advantage.
Strong coordination and communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
