
Senior IT Business Analyst - Financial Reporting

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes and translate requirements into effective reporting solutions;
- Design and propose innovative approaches to maximize automation in reporting activities;
- Validate deliverables with end users, ensuring smooth adoption and supporting change management;
- Monitor production processes, resolve incidents, and provide support during financial closing periods;
- Perform analysis, documentation, and deployment of developments into production following company standards (SQL & Python);
- Track and report IT activities and incidents with precision and accuracy;
- Participate in an agile setup by contributing to team rituals, backlog definition, prioritization, and continuous improvement;
- Expand knowledge across multiple financial domains (Credit Risk, IFRS9, FINREP, BASEL4, Operational Risk, etc.) in collaboration with international teams in Porto, Lisboa, and Paris.
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field;
- • 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the financial or reporting sector;
- • Solid knowledge of SQL (mandatory) and familiarity with Python is an advantage;
- • Previous experience in banking or regulatory reporting projects is a plus;
- • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, rigor, and attention to detail;
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a client-focused and results-driven environment;
- • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple activities simultaneously, and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English (B2 or above), and French is a plus;
- Candidates must be based in Portugal and possess either European citizenship or a valid Work Visa/Residence Card - mandatory requirement.
