Legal Advisor - Employment & HR Compliance

- Maintain global HR compliance standards, with specific requirements from an Employment and Compliance perspective, across multiple jurisdictions, including with regards to:
- Statutory obligations with regards to employees representation: organization of elections, etc.
- Statutory company policies & rules (implementation, monitoring, revision): employment policies (handbook), health and safety policy, additional policies specific to each country (LGTBI, equality, etc.), disciplinary code, grievance procedure, notices of good practice
- Compliance Monitoring, Analysis and Solutions:
- Conduct researches and monitor local changes in employment laws and regulations
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of HR compliance gaps across all Horizons' entities worldwide (40+ countries) and implement effective solutions, including the development of policies and practice
- Optimize and standardize company policies and approaches across all Horizons' entities worldwide, with specific emphasis on employees representation and statutory company policies & rules (employment policies, health and safety policy, additional policies specific to each country, disciplinary code, grievance procedure, etc.)
- Develop and maintain up to date the company's internal knowledge base on employment law and internal practices
- Support for teams:
- Operations team: during employees life cycle with Horizons, especially when grievance, discipline, offboarding occurs
- HR team: regarding internal Horizons' employment (during full employees lifecycle)
- Strong academic background, with a Bachelor degree or higher in Law, with specialization in Labor Law, Contracts Law, Private Law, or Law applied to HR
- Experience in a similar role within a fast-growth environment, with deep knowledge and understanding of all types of employment matters and labor relations in general
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
- Excellent time management and organization in order to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to analyze problems and come up with a solution
- Having lived in or experienced different countries would be a big advantage
- Language requirements: fluent in English with excellent writing skills. Fluent French and/or Spanish language will be a plus
- Experience in implementing employment policies in Europe or NAM would be a plus.
