For further information, please visit the following links: https://www.civiweb.com/FR/le-volontariat-international.aspx and http://careers.faurecia.com/job-offersPLEASE NOTE: as part of your international development, you cannot perform a VIE in the country of your citizenship.What will be your main missions?We are looking for a R&D VIE to be based at its plant at Sao Joao da Madeira.The R&D VIE plans and executes complete engineering design products or specific projects, from initial design concept through to production release and post-production support, for source automotive seat products.Your main missions will be to

Formulates, recommends, and implements all phases of a seat design project to complete within budget and to meet customer-determined project milestones and completion dates.
Lead the execution of other duties and special projects as assigned
Produces designs that are feasible and economical to produce in the manufacturing facilities and processes available
Ensures that all appropriate tests are performed
Assists in the achievement of program targets through direct participation in customer presentations

The mission will last 12 monthsYour profile and competencies to succeed

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Fluent in English
Good communication and problem solving skills
Understanding of print reading and tolerances
Knowledge/experience working with mechanical devices
Knowledge of automotive seating applications and requirements preferred
Ability to visualize 3D using a CAD viewer.
Knowledge of testing methods and standards
Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia's Code of Ethics and Code of Management
